Jessica Gilbert

Client Service Associate & Manager of Operations

What do you enjoy most about wealth management?

Being able to offer peace of mind to our clients so they can focus on what is most important to them. Knowing that we are a key influencer on a client’s overall well-being.

What’s the biggest challenge?

Being unable to predict the future and having the courage to embrace it. Taking actions on those things we can control and planning for the unknown is the best we can do and the most successful behaviour to learn.

What do you love most about being part of The Andrews Group?

The professional and fun environment we offer as a team; I love that this extends to our clients in the work we do for them!

What quality of yours makes you best suited to do what you do?

I am a very empathetic and inquisitive individual; I love to learn, and I love to help! Knowing that every day I am learning something new while I am making an impact on my team and in our clients’ everyday lives is very important to me.

How should people think about their wealth?

It is a tool that if utilized properly can provide security, comfort, and the ability to achieve your goals and aspirations.

What do you love to do outside of work?

I love puzzles, reading, word searches and taking our dogs for walks. I also enjoy volunteering with the less fortunate in my spare time.

What would you be doing if you weren’t working for The Andrews Group?

While I couldn’t picture myself anywhere else, I would still be working in the finance industry. Knowing that every day I learn something new that I can implement into my own life while making a difference; there’s nowhere else I would rather be!

What personal accomplishments are you most proud of?

Being a mom and finishing my undergraduate degree while going through major life challenges.

What professional accomplishment are you most proud of?

The career I have built over the last 5 years has been a significant accomplishment. I have allowed myself to continuously step outside my comfort zone to build my finance skill set in lending, credit applications, people leadership and now client service.

What was the most influential book you’ve read and why?

One of the greatest books I have read is In the Skin of a Lion by Michael Ondaatje. It is a powerful work that dives into the significance of the working class and the foundations that built our society and continues to influence our generations.
