On July 29th, members of our office (Mike, Chris, Laura, and Reid) participated in and helped with the very first WAY Biathlon. Sixteen participants, ranging in age from 17-82, learned (or refreshed) their archery skills and then ran (or walked!) 5km, shooting their arrows at each kilometer mark. After some torrential downpour before the event was due to start at 10:00AM, the sky parted just in time, and it was a great day.
It’s so nice when you can spend time outdoors with people who are having fun and supporting a worthy cause that helps seniors in our communities.
Congratulations to Sayra for organizing the event and being the Ontario representative for the We Are Young organization. We look forward to participating in the event next year (tentatively scheduled for June 22nd, 2024) as do a lot of people.
