What do you enjoy most about wealth management?
I love helping families reach their financial and life goals. Wealth Management is more than just the numbers, it’s about making clients feel heard, problem solving and providing financial solutions for today and the future.
What’s the biggest challenge?
A person’s circumstances can change in an instant. Part of our role is to ensure our clients have the ability to provide for the future and life’s unknowns. The biggest challenges often occur when the unexpected happens.
What do you love most about being part of The Andrews Group?
The team collaboration and everyone having a voice at the table. Regardless of the roles of the team members, everyone is encouraged to speak up and share ideas.
What quality of yours makes you best suited to do what you do?
My ability to “think outside the box” is one of my greatest qualities. It is important in wealth management, to take a holistic view and see the bigger picture when helping clients meet their financial goals. As Dan Brown once said, “Everything is possible. The impossible just takes longer.”
How should people think about their wealth?
Wealth is a means to end, to the things in life that bring us joy. People should look at their wealth as a pathway to their goals and dreams, which are unique to every individual.
What do you love to do outside of work?
My favourite season is summer. I love being outside in my garden, tending to my begonias, or relaxing on my patio with a good book and glass of wine.
What would you be doing if you weren’t working for The Andrews Group?
My dream would be to purchase a farm property and have an animal rescue sanctuary.
What personal accomplishments are you most proud of?
I must say being a mom is my greatest accomplishment. Raising my son and daughter as single mother for the first ten years of their lives came with its own unique set of challenges but I believe that working together in a loving environment, anything is possible.
What professional accomplishment are you most proud of?
I am proud of the industry courses I have completed to date and remain dedicated to continuing my financial education but after 20 years in the industry, I am most proud of my ongoing commitment to creating a client-centric environment that focuses on high standards of advice and service. Ensuring clients receive a superior wealth management experience is always top priority.
What was the most influential book you’ve read and why?
Finding Me by Viola Davis. A successful actress and producer, she had an extremely difficult childhood filled with abuse, racial injustice, poverty, and little support from her community. To say the lest, life was extremely difficult however she chose to rise above and has become one of the most influential people in Hollywood and in 2020 The New York Times ranked her ninth on its list of the greatest actors of the 21st century. She’s proof that hard work and perseverance can break any barriers and to never give up on yourself. A must read for everyone.
